Introducing the SRX6: A Next-Generation Multi-Channel Thermocouple Data Logger

ACR Systems is pleased to announce the launch of the SRX6 Seven-Channel Thermocouple Data Logger, part of our new SRX series of data loggers. The SRX6 is designed to replace the legacy ACR SmartReader Plus (SRP) 5 and 6 models which are being phased out.

This release marks a shift toward a new generation of temperature logging devices focused on simplicity, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness, while retaining the rugged performance and trusted reliability ACR is known for.

If you’re new to ACR, the SRX6 offers a reliable and compact platform for logging temperature data using standard type J, K, T, E, or S thermocouples. For those familiar with our earlier SRP thermocouple models, the new SRX brings forward the best of these devices which include:

  • wide measurement range from -200° C (-328 ° F) to over 1,700° C (3,000° F)
  • 10-year battery life
  • broad operating range from –40 °C to +85 °C (–40 °F to +185 °F) and
  • internal memory options up to one million readings. 

Key New Features

  • 16-bit resolution (up to ±0.04° C / ±0.07° F) for improved precision and smoother thermal profiles

  • Standard USB interface—no proprietary cables required

  • Two-stage alarm system, with onboard LED indication and optional external interface

  • Increased battery capacity for extended battery life, suitable for long-term field use and higher-density sampling

  • Portable equations onboard the data logger ensure faster downloads and collaboration with less user intervention

  • Standardized memory of 1.5 MB, offering up to 1 million readings

  • Optional delayed start (up to 60 days) and averaging of readings

  • Compatibility with ACR's new TrendReader TRX Software (available in Basic and Pro versions) which also includes backward compatibility with SmartReader Plus models

A Cost-Effective Replacement for SmartReader Plus Thermocouple Models

The SRX6 is designed to handle everything from cryogenic applications to high-heat industrial processes and is offered at a comparable or lower cost than the older SmartReader Plus 5 and 6 models. It is intended to serve as a drop-in replacement for customers needing to modernize their systems without sacrificing logging reliability or channel capacity.
