Capture Building or Room Pressure Profiles for Deeper Insight

The ACR Air™ Low Pressure Differential Logger records small changes in pressure across rooms, zones, or building envelopes, helping characterize how air moves within a space. By capturing pressure profiles over time, it supports meaningful analysis of airflow patterns and building pressurization performance.

This device is well suited to applications such as verifying directional airflow in isolation rooms, validating pressurization in cleanrooms or ERs, and assessing HVAC system effectiveness during commissioning or troubleshooting. With a ±125 Pascal range, wireless data retrieval, and rechargeable power, it supports efficient, unobtrusive deployment in both temporary studies and longer-term assessments.

Features

High-Resolution Differential Pressure Sensing

Captures low pressure differences with precision, offering a ±125 Pascal range and fine-grained resolution—ideal for detecting small but important changes in pressurization across zones or rooms.

Wireless Real-Time Pressure Profiling

Monitor pressure trends live from up to 50 feet (15m) away—without the need for cables. The logger supports real-time Bluetooth streaming for on-the-spot troubleshooting or system validation, even in hard-to-access areas.

Rechargeable Battery

Built-in rechargeable battery supports multiple sessions between charges. Ideal for both short-term checks and longer assessments without relying on disposable batteries or external power.

Compact, Low-Profile Design

Small and unobtrusive for easy placement in occupied rooms or behind-the-scenes locations. A good fit for temporary studies or low-visibility permanent monitoring.

Cross-Platform ACR Air Software

Includes ACR Air software for both Windows and macOS. Configure devices, download data, and export reports in common formats to support commissioning, diagnostics, or documentation.

Standalone or Paired Operation

Use on its own to monitor pressure behavior, or pair with the ACR Air CO₂ Logger to combine pressure and ventilation data—providing a more complete picture of indoor air quality and system performance.

Suitable for Critical or Everyday Spaces

Versatile enough for cleanrooms, ERs, and isolation rooms—yet just as useful in schools, offices, and care homes where ventilation and occupant comfort are priorities.

How do I recharge the device?

The logger is charged wirelessly using the included inductive charging pad. A full charge supports multiple logging sessions, depending on sample rate and duration.

Can I use this logger for permanent monitoring or just temporary studies?

The logger is primarily designed for portable, short- to medium-term assessments, but it can be used for permanent installations as well. In these cases, the unit will need to be temporarily removed at regular intervals for recharging, as no auxiliary power connection is available. A lockable wall-mounting kit is available to support secure, fixed installations while allowing for easy removal when needed. Wireless data download makes it convenient to collect readings without disturbing the installation between charge cycles.

Can I view my pressure data in real time?

Yes. The Low Pressure Logger streams real-time pressure readings wirelessly via Bluetooth using the ACR Air application. Unlike traditional ACR loggers that require a physical cable connection—often limiting you to a bench or desk—the wireless connection allows you to monitor data remotely, even if the logger is installed high on a wall, inside a duct, or in another hard-to-reach location. This makes it especially useful during balancing or troubleshooting tasks where live feedback is needed, but stringing cables isn't practical.

How important is placement when measuring building pressurization?

Placement is critical. The location of the pressure port or tubing directly affects what you're actually measuring. For example, in a large open warehouse, placing the tube at the front may show a significant pressure change when a door at the back is opened—because the space behaves as a single connected air volume. In contrast, in buildings with many partitions, hallways, or closed rooms, such an effect might be dampened or isolated.

To get meaningful results, place the tubing across the specific boundary you're trying to evaluate—such as between a corridor and a patient room, or between indoors and outdoors. Always document placement clearly and consider how air can move through the space when interpreting the data.
